Controller and legal framework

If you submit an email address through the newsletter form, we process that address to send occasional field notes about this guidebook. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@troncard.world; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. If you write to us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we process the contact details and message content you provide in order to respond. Depending on the context, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cookies and local storage

We use a local storage entry to remember whether you have acknowledged the cookie notice. Details are set out in the cookie policy. Where non-essential technologies would be used in future, we will ask for consent where required.

Recipients and transfers

Personal data may be processed by hosting and IT service providers acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR on our instructions. We do not sell personal data. If a transfer outside the European Economic Area becomes necessary, we will ensure an adequate level of protection through an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as the purpose requires, or for the statutory retention periods that apply to commercial and tax records in Germany. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or we discontinue the list.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests, subject to the conditions of the GDPR. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular the data protection authority of the German federal state in which you reside or in which troncard is established.
